Do you want to get the right attitude to succeed?
Blog #28
Today Carl's blog talks about getting the right attitude to succeed. It is straight forward and to the point. Whether you are studying or not it’s a simple process to help you move forward and start achieving the results you desire.
My father served the Territorial Army in England during the 50s, 60s, and 70s paying homage to Great Britain in an endeavor to maintain the status we had experienced after World War 2. For those who are not up to date with the atrocities that occurred during the war millions died in vein and those who lived through it experienced difficulties the majority of us have never witnessed. I’m one of those who have had it relatively easy.
Most students reading my blog will agree that it’s difficult to envisage the suffering those who lived close to the battle fields endured. We play video games, watch war films, and action adventures, but actually being involved and fighting to survive must be immensely significant in one’s own life time. My father used to remind me of those times of hardship regularly when I was growing up. Both my grandpas died because of being gassed during the war and it left them both with damaged lungs. They both died before I could meet them!
Every time my old man repeated those same stories I’d think, ‘here we go again’, “yes dad you’ve already told me that before.” But guess what, it finally impacted my thought process and assisted me to realize we aren’t born super heroes, rock stars, or film stars, and to the contrary we are all in the same scenario. It helped me establish how my life had better options and a road map I could navigate if I really wanted to succeed.
It’s really very simple; take action when the objective is staring you in the face. In other words don’t leave it until a later date, and run the risk of rushing it or failing to present. By taking action immediately it affords time to reanalyze after, make adjustments, and mainly improve the standard of workmanship before the deadline. By taking steps earlier than later it puts you as a leader; the one that others will aspire to instead of gossiping between each other that you suck because you never deliver quality!
I don’t know how you individually study, but I’m pretty sure many of you put homework off to a later date, or in some cases don’t even bother to do it at all. I know this for sure; life is about making choices. You can choose to make it happen, or you can push what I’m saying to the side, and don’t take a blind bit of notice of what I’m advocating. It is up to you. You have a choice. If you have bad habits you can continue making the same mistakes, or you can take action and create your life the way you want it.
I challenge you to try out my ideas and give it a go if you are not already doing so. You’ve got nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
Good luck!
