How to come out a winner – part two

It is early afternoon, and I feel really great. Why is that? Did I carry out my tasks today better than yesterday? Or am I facing myself in the mirror and communicating positive energy while convincing myself that I am happier? If I look out the window it’s a glorious day, bright blue sky, and airy winds. I can see the trees and bushes blowing from side to side, and birds floating past my patio window.
That being said I can feel energy flow through my body. I want you to think about that sentence for a few seconds. Form a picture in your mind. Close your eyes, take a deep breath through your nose slowly, and then exhale out of your mouth at a slow controlled pace. Flex your body while facing a mirror, and then relax everything. Let your arms hang down. Let your head drop down in front of your body. Hold it for a few moments while still dominating your breathing posture.
Take a deep breath while raising your head to face the mirror. Hold your shoulders back, and slowly while inhaling and exhaling lift your arms up to a cross position. Hold it. Start slightly faster paced breathing and open your eyes. Love yourself. Express how content you are to be who you are. Feel the weight leave your shoulders. Take a deeper inhalation, but this time through your mouth and exhale. You are special. You are one of a kind. You have what it takes to be a winner.
Remember that we communicate with others, but the quality of our lives is directly relative to the way we communicate firstly to ourselves, and then unto others. If that is true, which I believe, then we can control our emotions. Emotions give us good or bad experiences. By controlling our emotions we can determine how the experience affects the outcome. It doesn’t really matter what other people think of us because we are true to ourselves. I’ll give you an example:
Just after I wrote the first paragraph of this blog the phone rang on my partner’s work number at home, and it was a lady from one of Bloomingdales stores asking if we could supply some specialized furniture, which her company doesn’t have. I knew it wasn’t available, so spontaneously took her number and offered to help find a supplier. I phoned my partner who gave me one of her industry contacts, and subsequently contacted the woman who was delighted that I had recommended her. She offered to follow up right away. Job done!
Now I don’t know if it worked out for both parties, but what I do know is my contribution to helping others classifies me as someone who wants to make a difference. I know I’m a winner because I communicate clearly to my number one fan - me, and my attitude is directed toward ongoing success. How about you; do you make the effort to overcome obstacles and follow a winning path? Think about what you can do to convince yourself that you are a winner!
Attitude is one key to everything; start talking to yourself more positively!
