Who is involved in running the country?

Blog 72

What a bunch of cretins! I just briefly watched some senators blurring out about the medical bill, some other half a trillion loan, about how the country is bankrupt, and how one wants to avoid creating more grief for the younger generations.

It’s enough to make anyone cringe, an insult to intelligence, a laughable if not cry able moment when the economy dictated by imbeciles in top brass suits and Italian silk ties waffle. These are supposedly the cream of the crop. Professionals from universities like Harvard, Yale, and MIT. Economists who have earned PhDs. What are they playing at? Since Barak Obama became President of the United States of America it hasn’t changed for the better, unemployment seems to be rising, schools and colleges are downsizing if not closing, so is it these cretins that continue screwing up? They are the big spenders!

House Democrats have just said they are on track for a Sunday vote on a $940 billion health care bill that will expand coverage to millions. According to the House’s number 2 Democrat the health care package will reduce the federal deficit by more than $100 billion over its first 10 years, and more than one trillion in the 2nd decade. Where do these guys get the figures from?

The fact of the matter is a free economy is basically a free market i.e. it is a market without economic intervention and regulation by government except to regulate against force or fraud. That being said I wonder if these leaders ought to be concerned about borrowing less, and concentrating on internal modifications such as intervention as opposed to simply spending more trying to sort out problems, which wouldn’t have arisen in the first place if there was stricter rule.

I’m not a communist, and probably more tuned capitalist, but there still needs to be rules and regulations that need to be adhered to. If our leaders are incapable of working with commerce for the majority of the population then what hope do our future generations hold?

So there you have it – THE REPORT what benefits do people receive for the new health bill? The bottom line is someone has to pay back the $940 billion, so although it helps many people now it doesn’t help future generations. To the contrary it leaves the United States of America in a venerable position in worldwide economics, and it is a continuation of where the country was when George Bush stood down.

They say t
he wealthy will pay higher taxes to help finance it over 10 years. The wealthy will find a loophole somewhere. How do you think they got wealthy in the first place. Businesses with 50 or more workers will have to insure them or pay a penalty. Companies slightly larger than 50 will downsize, firing employees and adding to the jobless. Individuals, too, will have to pay a fine if they don't buy insurance, so it will ultimately prejudice some individuals who are already up to their eyeballs in debt. Furthermore, premiums could rise for some people. Seniors with Medicare Advantage policies could even lose those plans or pay more to keep them. What more do I need to say?

The ironic thing in my humble opinion is one of the biggest drawbacks that brought the economy down was people extending themselves i.e. borrowing too much money. And then look at what happened. I’m neither for nor against President Obama, but his strategy might fall into the same hole. In fact, he’s now becoming quite a copycat strategist if you think about it!

On the face of it votes will be won, many for sure will benefit, but as I mentioned the country is extending its loan. Everyone complained about George Bush even though in my opinion he offered his fair share of beneficial packages to the American people.

Let this health package get citizens to unite and prosper forthwith. God bless America!
