How to refocus your energies!
Blog 83
I’ve had a week to contemplate about my life, as my wife for almost 25 years took a short vacation to her parents abroad, while I looked after the fort and cared for Goldy – our pet dog!
Have you reflected over your situation recently? Well let’s just say we need time for ourselves. Although it is easier said than done, it allows us to muster our thoughts and feel a sense of freedom. Not that I feel imprisoned or anything like that, but a certain amount of selfishness does no harm to anyone!
In a way I have been able to do things exactly the way I want without having to blend in, or alternatively when together she often is busy and I end up staying at home instead of doing things I would have liked to do. I’m not complaining, but surely you have some idea about what it is that makes us feel good. For example I went to see Green Zone with Matt Damon, a film my partner wouldn’t have had the same inclination to watch!
Change gives us the opportunity to reevaluate our circumstances and sometimes make radical changes that have a positive effect on our wellbeing. I know my time alone helped me look inside and take stock of my predicament.
As a final note to this short blog may I suggest you take advantage right now and do something for yourself that has merit!
