How to improve your physical performance – 3 of 5

Blog 89

Eating more food, of the right ones, at the correct times will make you feel like it has added years on your lifespan. The question is this the right moment to get your body in the best shape of your life, improve performance, and benefit in so many areas?

This blog isn’t for any specific age category, and if one compares my notes in the previous blog you will realize I wrote to eat small portions, more regularly, at three hour intervals. Meal balance is important because the body digests at a certain rate, and therefore consuming portions in this way not only enhances utilization, but the metabolism accelerates, which means burning more calories. It also creates better distribution of the food groups, while vitamins and minerals are absorbed more efficiently.

My father warned me that if I became overweight it would be difficult to shed the pounds as I get older. Now I’m approaching 50 I realize that I’ve slowed down in as much as my body cannot support the vigorous exercise regime done for so many years. It has been more apparent with a gradual declination in performance as each year passes, and my body seems to be more prone to injury.

By eating the right carbohydrate foods you’ll find the body literally sheds weight – here are a few of those fat burning foods:

  1.

Quinoa

        2.      Rice bread

        3.      Sprouted grain breads

        4.      Sweet potatoes

        5.      Spelt

One of the usual problems with a diet is hunger. What I have found is that by controlling food intake and eating balanced meals at regular intervals it really does curb appetite. Eat 3 good sized portions 6 hours apart and smaller snacks three hours in between.
